Compassionate and upfront advice
Emily Collins
Being a family lawyer is about guiding people through often the most challenging times of their lives. I enjoy assisting clients in their family law journey as an advocate and an ally they can trust. Family law involves more than advising clients of the relevant law, it’s about seeing them through to other side of their separation with compassion and understanding.
And although I am compassionate and understanding, I also recognise the importance of giving client’s frank and upfront advice. I believe that resolving matters without the need for litigation is primarily the best outcome for parties, but relish the opportunity to appear in Court and advocate for my client when necessary.
Prior to working at Cudmore Legal, I have previous experience working in the areas of family law, criminal law, wills and estates, conveyancing and property law. This included working for a community legal service, Legal Aid Queensland and in a general practice law firm. However, I have found enjoyment and fulfilment in family law and now it is my exclusive practice.
In my time outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my toy cavoodle, Frankie.
