Phone records can be admitted into evidence. They are often used in domestic violence proceedings where one party has harassed another party via phone or even breached a no-contact order.

In Australia, phone record documents will include a person’s outgoing calls. You can also view a person’s incoming calls on their phone or in some family law cases, you could subpoena the phone provider.

A phone record will include, your name, or the other parties name, phone number, time of the call and the length of the call. This evidence is usually only useful in domestic violence cases, but in some cases can be useful in child custody.

Pre paid phone’s may have phone records, that would need to be obtained directly from the service provider.
